Three lip colours, a set of tubes dressed like Arctic cottages, and a reminder that the warmest thing in a frozen landscape is usually a painted front door.

Picture a vast white nothing: ice, sky, more ice. Then, far off, a small wooden house in a red so confident it seems to be arguing with the weather. That is the image behind Hermès Beauty’s autumn-winter 2026 Limited Edition collection, and Creative Director Gregoris Pyrpylis has built three lip colours around it.

The most charming part may be the packaging. Pierre Hardy, the designer behind Hermès Beauty’s objects, has dressed the tubes in blue, red, pink, yellow and green against a snow-white ground, like cottages scattered across a glacier. The edges are deliberately ragged, taken from the look of torn paper and, by extension, ice peaks. Straight lines, it seems, have been given the season off.

Inside are the shades. Rouge Scandinave, a matte, is a rich Nordic red drawn from the painted timber houses of Scandinavia. Rouge Épicé, a satin, is the house’s emblematic pink with a whisper of terracotta. Rose Hermès in Rouge Airelle is a sheer lip enhancer in berry red softened with pink, its texture modelled on the softness of Milo leather, which may be the most Hermès sentence one could write. The formulas lean on white mulberry extract and sesame, so the colour arrives with a little care attached.

There is a sensible side, too. The Rose Hermès and Rouge Hermès cases can be refilled with any shade from their permanent collections, so the tube outlives the season. For the nails, two shades from Les Mains Hermès, Rose Baltique and Rouge H, finish the look.

The collection is available from August 2026 in selected Hermès retail outlets. Winter dressing is usually a matter of layers. Hermès suggests that one bright door in a white landscape does the job just as well.
